A Fancy Nancy Tea Party!!

Today my youngest granddaughter came over to visit. We had a Fancy Nancy Tea Party. The tea was really lemonade with raspberries in it. She helped make heart shaped peanut butter and honey tea sandwiches and we decorated place mats together. We said darling and made sure our pinkies were up when we sipped our make believe tea. We had lemon cookies shaped like hearts and chocolate heart truffles as well. I love having tea parties with my granddaughters!!!
Tea sandwiches and yummies at our Fancy Nancy Tea Party!!

My helper pouring our tea from my gold plated tea pot over 100 years old.

Notice the pinky!!

Our Fancy Nancy dishes were passed down from our great grand parents.

Creatures and Nature

This is the creek behind where we live. Because of all of the rain it is
now a lake!!! Really....ducks and all!!!!

A beautiful dried flower.

This is at the beach. I love the colors.

Large driftwood. I love driftwood. I make mobiles and wind chimes with the driftwood I find.

This snake was on the path I walk on. I do not like snakes! I can't believe I was brave enough to get this close....if it slithers I No like!!!!

This is one of the many spiderwebs on the fence out in the north forty.

Bumblebee's buzzing everywhere.

Out in the apple orchard. I try to take my camera every time I go out back just in case I see a deer or another creature.     I am amazed
at how the deer are not that concerned with me. They just look at me and then continue to graze.

Birthday wishes!!

This beautiful hummingbird feeder is from my daughter and family.

A cast iron teapot from my hubby.

I celebrate my birthday the entire month of February! Hey....my philosophy is this....if you are going to turn another year older why not party for a month!!! My kids have teased me for years about my birthday month! So far I have had a great month!! It started in California on February 1st....which is another holiday in our family.  I always say I don't really want anything nor do I need anything and I really do mean that. I do not need anything to be happy....I am already happy....happy and thankful for my life and for my family. I am grateful for all that the Lord has given to me. The photos that I am posting are two of my favorite presents. One more week of February to go!!!!!!!! Party on!!!

Black and Whites

A very cold morning at the bay.

The walkway over the water in Fairhaven.

Clouds rolling in for a big storm!

This Motel is in Doris, CA.

I just wanted to see what this pier looks like in black and white. I do like it.

This was on one of my walks. I don't know what it is but it was covered with pod clusters
from top to bottom. Sadly, the next time I went for a walk to look at it again, it had been
completely cut to the ground.

Standing on the stairs that go down to the water off Locust beach.

This is under the train tracks. I love this photo in black and white!

 Tehachapi, CA.

Golden Years!

This old plow sits on the property where I live.

This is on the road going out to La Conner. My friend Mary and I had fun taking
photos of this old barn. As we were taking photos the owner pulled up and wanted to know what we were doing on his property. We told him that we loved his old barn and just had to stop and take a photo of it...I think he thought we were a little strange!!!!

This plow is sitting in front of the town hall on Lummi Island.

I am standing under the railroad tracks here. Wow.... It is an amazing feeling when the train goes overhead while you are standing here.  It is POWERFUL.  I close my eyes and imagine the power of God passing through me!!! I love it here.

Old windmill in Old Town, San Diego.

Another plow! (Yes, I am a farmer at heart!!) This one is in Sprague River, Oregon.

This sleigh is in the cutest little town called La Conner. There are a lot of cute stores to shop at and lots of great places to eat.

I sometimes walk down these railroad tracks to go to the bay. I love walking on railroad tracks.

Dedicated To The World's Biggest Car Guy!!!

My husband loves cars!!!!!!!!  No....really???????  I have never met anyone who loves cars like him.
If it was up to him he would eat, drink and breathe cars to stay alive!! I tease him sometimes and tell him that he missed his calling...he should have been a professional car racer or an announcer for the drags or NASCAR.  He can tell you anything you want to know about every car (classic cars) that there is to know. I don't know how he does it.  I have enjoyed the years of going to car shows and races with him. On one of our first dates he took me to a Sprint car race and told me I was going to get mud in my drink. I didn't know what that meant until the race began. As the cars passed by they sped around the corners causing the mud to fly into the stands. After the race was over we went down to the pits and walked around in the sticky mud to get a closer look.  It was crazy. But crazy fun!!  I have lots and lots of story's and good memories to share....so many in fact that this blog would not hold them all!!  I would also like to add a " Thank You" to my hubby for loving cars so much and sharing so many great times with me! <3

Happy Valentines Day!!

Sending out some love to my hubby and to all of my friends and family. Also....a Happy Birthday to my brother who is the same age as me for a week!!! Then I will be the older sister again! Ha!

Random Photos of Things That Caught My Eye!

An airplane coming in for a landing over Balboa Park.

I took this on Lummi Island walking from the
Ferry to my friends house.

This beautiful Chandelier was in
an entry way of a very old Hotel.

This was on a door in Little Italy, San diego.

This is inside the Corvette Diner's Arcade.

I caught this little guy taking a sun bath. He
stayed for a long while and allowed me to take
a photo of him. I think he was drunk in the sun!

Now that's a pie!!!!

 I took this photo at
Balboa Park. I did not know,
until later, that a jet had
just passed through.

Columbus Zoo, Ohio

These bright orange bumpers were piled
inside one of the ships we went on. You
can not tell by the photo, but they are huge.
They measured about 18 inches long and
about 10 inches across.

Guiding the way!

A very old flood light inside the Studio Diner.

This billion dollar + Yacht passed through the harbor in San Diego.
Notice the helicopter on the back. Wooooooe is all I have to say!!!!
