GARDEN UPDATE

My stacking pots. I love my pansies!

Looking good!

My spiral rock art garden. My carrots are filling in the middle
and the spinach is filling in the around the outside!
I LOVE MY GARDEN!

My other plot. Potatoes in front, California poppies on the outsides, two
zucchini plants and five pumpkin plants. The caged area has my sunflower
saplings. I covered them to keep the birds from snacking on them! The
strawberry plants in the other half have hundreds of berries!! Can't wait!

My Brother Visited from the Mid West! I Enjoyed Showing Him God's Country!!!

I had the pleasure of sharing my backyard with my brother. We went to the Tulip Festival and looked at amazing fields of flowers  We went to Deception Pass for a picnic. We walked and talked and had fun looking for pretty rocks! We walked out on the bridge...wow...it was high!!! We did
Seattle, the Space Needle and Pikes Market. I asked the fishmonger to throw fish for us and he did! Good times, good times!! We ate good food, talked and had many a cup a joe together. We drank green smoothies worked in the garden and enjoyed the crystal clear blue skies along with an abundance of sunshine. One of the highlights for me was when he joined me at the Farmer's Market to sell my artwork. He helped me set up my tables and display of petraspetals.com. I enjoyed his company and I am thankful he got to come see me! (I love you bro and I am praying for complete health for you)   Here are a few of the three hundred photos we took during his stay.

Nature Right out My Back Door!

Our lilacs are in full bloom!

Garden Update!

Pumpkin plants doing great!

My carrots are coming up inside my spiral rock art.
Spinach around the outside is doing good as well.
Red leaf lettuce growing!

This section has some posies! Iceland poppies, pansies, echinacea.
My red onions are all poking through the ground and my second
planting of radishes are up!

My pansies are thriving!! Gorgeous!!

Sugar peas climbing up my trellis fast!!

I have two rows of California poppies in the other raised
bed. Along with my zucchini plants, yukon gold potatoes,
and the pumpkins. Two rows of sunflowers are along
the center between the strawberry plants. I am hoping for
at least a couple of sunflower plants to make it. The birds eat the seedlings as
soon as they pop up.

Hundreds of blossoms on the strawberry plants!

My Green House

This year I am going big with my tomatoes and hot peppers......I hope......as I made myself a mini greenhouse for them. Because of the rain and not so hot Summers I have decided to try something new this year. I went to Home Depot and bought some tubing, rebar, clamps and some plastic. At first it was hard to work with the plastic...it was a three ring circus between my husband and I putting it together, but we did it. I housed only my tomatoes and my peppers. We had a big storm the other day and it has been raining hard and it is still standing! We dun good!
Four tomato plants and five peppers.

Mini greenhouse. The plastic Tee Pee in the front is
covering my green bean plants. It is still too cold for them.

Maggie's pumpkin plants. She planted the seeds inside and I just
put them out. Covering them because it is too cold. I also planted a few
more seeds. Hopefully we will get the girl some pumpkins this year!

A view of my radishes that came up already! Also, red romaine lettuce.

Oh How Time is Flying By

My pansies and primrose I planted in a big tub sitting on my
antique patio table. Love!

My shelf with shells and rocks. The old cast iron kettle was my great grandmother's.

My Angel ivy my friend Mary gave me. It was
just a small start when she gave it to me.

My salad container turned into a mini greenhouse.
Pumpkin and green beans were up in just a few days.

Canvas artwork I made for myself. Blue beach glass
and dahlia petals.

Spiral rock garden. I planted carrots inside and
lettuce all around the outside. I will add photos
of this again later on when it has sprouted.

I saw this on Pinterest..as well as the spiral rock
garden idea.  http://pinterest.com/nancyslife/  Look
